TV2’s Revenge is to be turned into a graphic novel by Marvel Entertainment.  Revenge: The Secret Origin of Emily Thorne will follow a young Amanda Clarke through her first mission of revenge across 112 pages.  The book is scheduled for release on September 3.

Modern Family land in Australia to shoot vacation episode

The cast of Modern Family have touched down in Australia to shoot their vacation episode, the first to be shot outside the USA.  There is no word yet if they’ll be popping over this side of the Tasman to shoot a same sex wedding though.

Australian Federal Police raid Channel 7

After speculation that Australia’s Channel 7 may have paid AUD$2m to Schapelle Corby, Australian Federal Police raided the network’s offices and that of their lawyers.  Australian law prohibits criminals from telling their stories for commercial gain.  Seven Network CEO Tim Worner said that the raids were a surprise and that the company had been co-operating with the AFP. He also added that the raid appeared to impinge on media rights and freedoms.

NBC increases development of Conception

Despite the pilot not yet being shot and suggesting further that the networks are moving away from the “pilot season” model, NBC’s upcoming mystery drama Conception has had three more scripts ordered. The show turns on a mystery involving modern-day cases of immaculate conception and how those children are destined to change the world.

Showtime renews dramas

Both Shameless and House of Lies have had 12 more episodes ordered by cable network Showtime.

    Sadly, this show has lost its spark. The first series was magical but the subsequent series have been very dark, long-winded, hard-to-follow tales. I’ve given up watching it.
