CBS inks massive 3 season renewal

The #1 primetime comedy in the US, The Big Bang Theory, has been renewed for 3 more seasons and will see the cornerstone series run through until at least 2016/17.  This will take the hit series through to it’s 10th season and with it, the very likely chance of payrises for the cast.

Amazon puts The Rebels on hold

This is good news.  I had hoped that the sports comedy  The Rebels would be one of the series that Amazon chose to pick up as part of it’s pilot season.  I’m hoping that news that it’s been given a “hold” status means it hasn’t been canned altogether and they’re just trying to figure out how they can get it into production as well.

NBC announces 10 season finales

Winter must be on the way as the US begin to wind up their seasons for the warmer and longer days.  The Voice will wrap with a two-hour edition on May 20, and Community‘s term ends April 17. On the drama side, the 2013-14 season of Parenthood also wraps April 17, The Blacklist checks off its last episode May 12, Chicago Fire goes out May 13, Revolution wraps May 14, Grimm’s story ends May 16, the Law And Order: SVU and Chicago P.D. shifts end May 21, and Hannibal‘s last meal is set for May 23.
