Paula Abdul to cameo on Neighbours

In Australia for So You Think You Can Dance, Paula Abdul has added a cameo on the nightly soap opera Neighbours to her list of things to do while down under.  The episode won’t screen in Australia until June.

Banshee breaks new record

Antony Starr’s US cable show Banshee has set a new record.  The action drama just keeps building steam with the season 2 finale beating Cinemax’s viewership record by 24%. The 10 PM airing drew am audience of 733,000, zipping past the record of 591,000 set by the February 7 episode of the series.

3 new drama pilots for ABC Family

ABC Family has picked up three drama pilots: Alice In Arabia, about an American teen girl kidnapped by her extended royal Saudi Arabian family and forced to live with them; Recovery Road, based on Blake Nelson’s novel about a teen girl dealing with additiction; and Unstrung, about a brother-sister duo of tennis players. Additionally, the network has ordered a fourth season of comedy Baby Daddy.
