Surely TV3 has to move TGFR?? 3news delivered 300,000 viewers to it and 200,000 tuned out, then 100,000 came back after it finished – My God, wake up!!

    • Dave

Shame as I’m really enjoying the show. While it was obviously designed to have wider appeal than just “a cooking show”, trying to compete against the established Masterchef was a tough ask.

      • Maggie

I’m still enjoying it too. I hope the competition winner is someone who watches the show religiously week in, week out (like me – please!).
I felt the guys were cheated out of first place last night.

        • Dave

Same here. The guys didn’t quite everything plated up, but I’d prefer not to have to see much more of the snobby Wellington upstart.

          • Maggie

“The snobby Wellington upstart” – LOL! You said it; I’m agreeing. He’s incredibly annoying.

I like the guys’ personalities. I think they’d be far more fun to watch along with the others confirmed to be going through to the overseas leg.

I’m hoping the couple where he’s a builder and she’s a real estate agent (Aussie lady) win – they’re neat.

    • Drew Horan

Im sure the Great Food Race is doing well in the demos for them to keep it in its primetime slot.

    • Blair

Prime is beating TV3 in the ratings with Top Gear. Shows that people don’t want to watch this crappy cooking show. If people do like cooking shows they will Master Chef.

  • Maggie

I wonder how The Block Sky High is going to rate for 3 … I imagine more people will tune in on the +1 channel to watch it, given its timeslot.

I never thought this would happen, but in watching it now, I feel a little ‘blocked out’ … it feels a bit like groundhog day but unlike previous seasons this one doesn’t seem to have any characters I’m warming to :-/

  • Maggie

I’m surprised to see The Real Housewives of Orange County has dropped of the ‘Most Watched on FOUR’ list. I’ve seen it on there a couple of times before …
I had to switch it off halfway through on Saturday – it had waaaaay too much screaming and dramas to retain my interest levels.

    • Drew Horan

It was in the most watched top 5 on Saturday for FOUR:
http://www.throng.co.nz/2014/03/tv-ratings-8-march-2014/#more-73542 Personally this show is such a Guilty pleasure for me!

      • Maggie

        Same here!

        Who is your favourite?

I find Heather very … intimidating. Fun fact (in case you didn’t know): she and Terry sold the manse we’re seeing in the show now, for US$16.4m last year. It is impressive.

I’m pleased that the producers dropped Alexis for the next season because I don’t think this show is good for her health. I can’t believe how much she’s changed from when she first appeared on the show.
