Paying it forward

cadbury-dream-factoryIt seems as though TV3’s Dream Factory has paid it forward with one of the show’s dream winners choosing to put her prize money into a relief effort.

The woman who won big on a popular television show will donate the majority of her prize money to a cause close to her heart.

Remy Wilson, 46, won $10,000 during the season finale of Cadbury Dream Factory and is determined to use the money to help the Filipino victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The Auckland resident emigrated from the Philippines in 1990, and was back visiting friends and family just months before the deadly typhoon struck in November last year, killing more than 6000 people.

While most people would probably keep all the winnings for themselves, this is a genuine display of the kind of human spirit that Dream Factory was wanting to showcase.
