Hi Regan. Benny Tipene was third on the show. Whenua Patuwai was the runner-up.

second runner up is what is written 🙂

      • Jeseta

it was corrected after Marks comment.

I’m pretty sure that was the case as I didn’t see the word “second” when I posted the comment.

How exciting! He even got named at the bottom, great promotion. I’m excited to see him on his tour with Anika Moa in June!

OOsh, I hadn’t heard of that tour, off to find out now!

This is awesome news for Benny Tipene!! Proud of you bro!! I really hope Sony has something coming for Jackie Thomas cause WHERE THE HELL IS SHE???. Its a shame that TV ONe has decided not to pick up Winners again, hopefully Prime or Choice TV screen it.

    • Jeseta

I’d be very interested to know what’s happening on the Jackie Thomas front too…

She has a few new original songs called Until the Next Goodbye, What You Need and Where I Belong. They haven’t been released yet.

        • Jasmine

A single release is imminent according to her social media. She also received NZ On Air funding for a music video for a song called Stars.

I absolutely love this show – shame on TVNZ for canning it. NZ is behind by two seasons now, I think … it just keeps getting better and better (I’ve seen them all). Can’t wait for this year’s episodes.

Melanie Velajo, who plays Sophie on Winners & Losers, looks exactly like Valentina from Devious Maids. The similarity is uncanny.
