What to watch tonight: 20 May 2014

Quickflix_throng_200x175Whether you’re a channel surfer looking for something to watch or someone who leaves your TV on one channel for the entire evening, here are our thoughts on what we think might be worth checking out this evening.

Must Watch:

Women in Blue (TV One, 7:30pm)
There never seems to be a shortage of reality shows with our emergency services. I haven’t seen this particular incarnation but I suspect it will follow the usual format.

Bowling for Columbine (Maori Television, 8:30pm)
Michael Moore explores gun violence in America post the Columbine shooting.

Record for later:

Britain’s Got Talent (TV One, 8:30pm)
The auditions continue in Simon Cowell’s pursuit to find the next performer to entertain the queen at the annual royal variety gala.

What are you planning on watching tonight? If my suggestions aren’t your cup of tea, perhaps you could check out what’s on offer at Quickflix for further viewing options.

What did tv stations fill their programme with before reality tv?

I’m going to watch MKR on TV2 in the hope that this batch’s nasty contestant falls flat on his face.

He was SO rude last night, and he and his partner proclaim their food is better than restaurant quality, so it’ll be interesting to see what Manu and Pete think.

After that I’m going to watch Devious Maids On Demand (TV2 are fast tracking it, so we’re keeping up with the States, which is awesome).

Then I’ll tune back in later to watch Revenge on TV2. I still think the story’s lost its way a bit, but it’s quite good at the moment.

Yeah David got his come uppance alright. From the looks of the shorts tomorrow night he’s still behaving like a pratt though.
