Spoiler: Which Simpsons character died last night?

The 26th season of The Simpsons opened last night with a death.

There had been much speculation as to which Simpsons character would be killed off but from the hundreds of characters that have appeared over the years, it was in fact the Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky, voiced by Jackie Mason.

Krusty was naturally feeling down after being severely roasted by comedians (and roast staples) like Jeffrey Ross and Sarah Silverman, and went to visit his father. The rabbi wasn’t extremely comforting before saying “You’ve always been ehhhh,” and then dropping dead in the middle of his sentence.

True Simpsons style.

Rabbi Krustofsky first appeared on The Simpsons in 1991 and has been beloved ever since, voiced both by legendary comedian Jackie Mason and Simpsons superstar Dan Castellaneta.
