Ratings: Our First Home hits high with first auction

Despite the negative commentary about Our First Home, TVNZ’s home renovation show has quietly continued on and delivered the typical type of over time series growth you’d expect from a reality series.

Last night saw Our First Home hit a series high as the Gourley family’s reno went to auction with an average audience of 518,850. This represents a 49% increase on last Sunday’s audience.

Meanwhile, TV3 will be counting the days until The X Factor NZ doesn’t have to compete against the TVNZ monster although coming down the line afterwards is a new Nigel Latta series.

Last night’s X Factor drew an average audience of 261,860 viewers, a slight improvement on last week but still well down on the series average of just over 300,000.
