yay !! (how about nz home reno, even the block numbers are well down arent they ?)

      • bobscoffee

no thanks, how about new ideas?

        • K

No i think he’s replying “how about nz home reno” to what I said..we are over NZ cooking shows

          • epistaxis

..yip thats what i meant… if were over cooking shows (as ur ratings suggested) surely its the same for the reno shows (well the block nz with much lower ratings as well)

        • benpaul12

IMO, there’s not really any format which would drag me back to TV!

          • Dave Ian Batten

            Not even Shortland Street?

    • Guest

MKR has not learned from its mistakes of yesteryear. I thought the advertising campaign looked promising but when I tuned in last night the boring judge (Ben) was still there and the guests looked to be eating mince on fettucine … time to kill this show off.

      • Challenger

Are you sure it was cooked by contestants. I read somewhere that in the Aussie shows there were chefs cooking behind cameras. It also said the food is be sprayed with chemicals so that it will look beautiful n TV.

        • Guest

I’ve heard that too. And the contestants don’t film in their own properties. And they’re cast on personality (except I don’t think that’s the case here).

  • andrew

why is it that when we have NZ content people dont watch. when we dont have enough NZ content people complain.

    • benpaul12

      You’ve always gotta complain!

    • bobscoffee

The problem is the TV networks play so many different versions of the same reality format, so that when it comes to watching our own it pales in comparison. Maybe they should not show the US, Aussie or UK version and we won’t have anything to compare our version with…

This must be one of the first times since Campbell Live was cut that TV3 has beaten TV2’s channel share, am I right?
