Amazon have given orders for the kids series Dino Dana, The Kicks and Lost In Oz along with a half-hour special based on the Shaun The Sheep.

Two new dramas are on the way for ABC Family. Guilt is reminiscent of the Amanda Knox story and is an hourlong drama about a young American woman in London who becomes the prime suspect in the savage murder of her roommate. The second is Beyond, a one-hour drama about a young man who wakes up from a coma after 12 years and discovers new supernatural abilities that propel him into the middle of a dangerous conspiracy.

BattleBots has been renewed for a second season.

ABC have given a put pilot committment to an untitled comedy which revolves around four women friends rattled by a forty-something feeling of irrelevance who embark on a mission to turn their invisibility into invincibility.

NBC has bought the half hour comedy Poog which centers on a working mother who tries to get over her obsession with being the “perfect parent” by banding together with her friends to admit — and even celebrate — the messy reality of parenting. They share their daily screw ups, deepening their friendship, and their kids survive — and even thrive.

CBS is developing a project is described as a fun, action-packed, female-empowerment spy show in the vein of Kingsman and Alias. Mi-Zone centers on a young American woman who marries the Prince of England and discovers that she’s now part of a longstanding secret society of princesses who use their access to the seats of power to be the best secret agents on the planet.

Deadline reports that The Last Tycoon, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final unfinished novel, has received a cast-contingent pilot order from Amazon, while The Interestings, an adaptation of the Meg Wolitzer bestseller, has gotten a director-contingent pilot pickup.

Z Nation has been renewed for a third season.

FX has bought Caper, an hour long dark crime comedy which is described as a Southern Gothic Texas Noir done the Scandinavian way and follows the interconnected lives of three sets of criminals.

USA has greenlit First Impressions, a celebrity impression competition series.

FOX has given a script commitment with penalty to the comedy project Buffalo which revolves around dysfunctional members of a workspace collective, set in the emerging Rust Belt paradise of Buffalo, NY.

ABC has put into development the romantic dramedy True Love which is very loosely inspired by classic fairy tales and subverted with a provocative and authentic post-feminist twist that believes you can stand on your own and still want to be swept off your feet.

Smoke Sex Magic centers on two sisters who inherit their mother’s popular restaurant only to discover that the secret to their mother’s cooking was black magic.

Coming to FOX is The Work set the world of professional wrestling.

Reports are surfacing that America’s Next Top Model is being shopped to cable and streaming services after the recent announcement that the 22nd season would be its last.

ABC is working on the comedy Fair and Balanced which revolves around an aspiring public radio reporter who is swayed to work at a Fox News-type channel.

Amazon is developing a TV adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley’s book series Darkover.

Bryan Cranston’s Sneaky Pete has been given a series order from Amazon.

CBS has bought the CIA time-travel drama Recall which centers on a brilliant inventor who discovers a way to travel back in time 24 hours. He and his team join forces with the CIA and travel back in time to prevent crimes and other disastrous events from happening.

NBC are developing a US adaptation of the ITV 2009 series Collision.

FOX is the latest to develop a megachurch drama. The untitled project is a story about an illegitimate son (with a criminal past) returns after his celebrity televangelist father dies mysteriously. His family fights to salvage their Houston-based megachurch and “inspirational” media enterprise but are disrupted when he wants to stake his claim on his father’s legacy.
