Ratings: Newsworthy puts runs on the board

It’s been a long time between drinks but due to an even later starting time for Tonight, Newsworthy chalked up another win on Thursday night which helped TV3 to a 54% increase in the average audience for the week of 70,580 viewers per night.

The result for Newsworthy was the second best week the show has had, other than the average audience of 74,248 viewers the show had back in July.

For Tonight, the average audience was down 3% on the previous week to 119,554 viewers per night.

Year on year, Newsworthy was still down 20% on the figures that The Paul Henry Show was getting last year, despite the big increase. Tonight was down 5% on the same period.
