9:30pm - Wednesday, December 30 on TV 3

Missing your weekly 7 Days dose? Fear not, Jeremy Corbett and co. are back this week in 7 Days - 12 Months, screening on Wednesday, December 30th at 9:30pm on 3.

According to 7 Days producer Jon Bridges, this week's special finds New Zealand's top comedians, including; Paul Ego, Dai Henwood, Ben Hurley, Jeremy Elwood, Michele A'court, and Steve Wrigley pitting their wits against the biggest news stories of 2009.

"It is a year-in-review show where instead of taking the piss out of the last seven days' events, we take the piss out of the events of 2009," Bridges explains.

"We will be playing all the favourite games like My Kid Could Draw That, Captions and Yes Minister," he continues.

"As well as that we will be playing some (well, hopefully at least one) new games as well, especially designed for the festive New Year spirit."

This week sees Jeremy Corbett and two teams of New Zealand's finest comic talents blast the last seven days of news out of the water for one last time this season, the finale of 7 Days screens on Friday, December 11th at 10pm on 3.

"This series has been awesome. Normally when you start getting to about episode eight of a series, you start thinking quietly to yourself, 'oh, not another episode of this' but 7 Days is a real adventure to shoot," says Producer Jon Bridges about the series that over the last 17 weeks has established itself as one of New Zealand's most critically and commercially successful comedy series.

Bridges says that it's the series' incredible rotating roster of comedians, which over the season have included Rove McManus and Peter Helliar, which have made 7 Days the success it's become.

Pete Helliar joins 7 Days

October 9th, 2009

Pete Helliar joins 7 Days on Friday, October 9th at 10pm on 3

Following Rove McManus’ very successful guest appearance on 7 Days, this week sees another Rove cast member joining the hit series; Pete Helliar teams up with Jeremy Corbett and co. on Friday, October 9th at 10pm on 3.

So was it Rove’s good word-of-mouth that convinced the hilarious Helliar to make the trip over the ditch? According to the Australian comedian, the decision to appear on 7 Days was actually much less complicated.

“It was pretty complicated,” Helliar explains with a devilish smirk. “They asked and then I said ‘sure, why not?’. True story, sounds made up I know, but every single word is the truth I swear.”
Really, was it really as simple as that? “Actually, I think I just said ‘sure’ and not ‘why not?’. But the rest is 100% true. I'm going to dine out on this story for years!”

Rove McManus on 7 Days

September 25th, 2009

10:00pm - Friday, September 25 on TV 3

Rove McManus was originally supposed to appear in the critically acclaimed comedy satire series 7 Days on September 11th, however due to the comedian's conflicting schedule Rove will now be joining Jeremy Corbett and co. on Friday, September 25th at 10pm on 3.

Although coincidental, the change of dates for Rove's appearance coincides with a very special night for Rove's own show, Rove, which celebrates its 10th anniversary on the same day.

So just how did 7 Days scoop up the Australian comedian at such a crucial time? Series producer Jon Bridges says that as much as he would love to take credit for Rove's appearance on the series, that honour has to go to host Jeremy Corbett.
