NBC in the USA has ordered 13 episodes of a new standalone arc titled Heroes Reborn, with all storyline and character details currently being kept under wraps. The miniseries will air sometime in 2015, preceded by a web series that will introduce the characters and new storylines.

Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert will be mentors for the show’s new phase called Randy Jackson’s “Boot Camp,” Daughtry reveals himself.

pshIn a very sad start to the week, Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday in his New York City apartment of an apparent drug overdose. He was 46.

A law enforcement official told the Wall Street Journal that Hoffman was discovered in the bathroom of his fourth floor apartment with a needle in his arm.

Hoffman, who spent 10 days in rehab last May for heroin abuse, was set to star in the new Showtime dramedy Happyish, playing an ad man who is sent adrift when his ad agency is taken over. The project – had been described as a “blistering attack on our youth-obsessed culture and a darkly comic examination of what it means to matter. Or matter not.” Continue reading »

Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong star in the car company’s “It’s Good to Be Bad” promotional spot. The action-packed commercial from Les Miserables director Tom Hooper teases the question, “Have you ever noticed that in all Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?”
