vmarsWarner Bros. have released the official movie poster for the anticipated big-screen adaptation (due out March 14 in USA) of Veronica Mars, and it features Kristen Bell’s sleuth in all her investigative glory below the catchphrase, “She Thought She Was Out.”

girls4It’s been a great week for Lena Dunham. First there was news that Vogue USA would feature the unconventional beauty on their cover and devote a secyion of the magazine to her hit show Girls. Now, with just three days to go before the start of Girls’ third season, HBO has made official its plans to produce a fourth season.

A network spokesperson announced at the top of its Television Critics Association winter press tour panel that it has already renewed Girls for another round. It will film in New York later this year, with a 2015 premiere planned. Continue reading »

bempIt has been announced that Boardwalk Empire‘s upcoming fifth season will be its last, HBO has announced.

“After much discussion with my creative team and HBO, we’ve decided to wrap the series after such a great run and look forward to bringing it to a powerful and exciting conclusion,” series creator Terence Winter said in a statement.

The American period drama series, is set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the Prohibition era. It stars Steve Buscemi, Gretchen Mol, Michael Pitt and Kelly Macdonald. Continue reading »

girls 3Girls (Soho) has provided a number of memorable music moments over the past two seasons, including Hannah and Marnie dancing to Robyn and a cocaine-fueled Hannah and Elijah dancing to Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

But the latter scene, which helped “I Love It” become a hit last year, almost featured a different song. Rihanna’s “Talk That Talk” was music supervisor Manish Raval’s previous choice but the singer’s team wouldn’t let the HBO show use her song. Continue reading »

averyJames Avery has died at the age of 65. The actor is most known for portraying the patriarch and attorney (later judge) Philip Banks, Will Smith’s character’s uncle, in the TV sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He died at an L.A. hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 31. from complications after open geart surgery.

Avery starred in Fresh Prince with Will Smith from 1990 to 1996. Shortly after his passing, his onscreen son, Alfonso Ribeiro, addressed about the loss via Twitter. Continue reading »

The offspring of this iconic duo, played by Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, will be Daniel Robinson. Over the years Daniel has been referred to in dialogue but never seen on screen.
