The legendary Burt Reynolds guest stars as an ex-CIA operative targeted by the Russians after he lets slip some Cold War secrets in Burn Notice, continuing its latest season on Wednesday, July 25 th at 10:30pm on FOUR.

“When they approached me about this, I was very happy,” Reynolds says about his guest role, “but I forgot how hard you work on those shows. The hours were unbelievable, but I really was very fond of both those guys [costars Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell].” They [Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell] were incredibly respectful,” Reynolds continues. “I was very touched by that. Maybe it’s because I’m old, but they were very sweet, and I had a lot of fun with them. They like to horse around a little; you’ll die in that heat if you don’t have a laugh or two.”

While holding true to the spirit of Burn Notice, Reynolds’ character will also pay homage to his past roles in action movies from Operation C.I.A. to Malone. Make sure not to miss this when Burn Notice screens on Wednesday, July 25 th at 10:30pm on FOUR.

This week sees Parks and Recreation entering its latest, fourth season which will see the hit comedy centre on Leslie’s (Amy Poehler) dilemma between running for office and staying in a relationship with Ben (Adam Scott). Parks and Recreation screens on Tuesday, July 24 th at 9pm on FOUR. “[Leslie] attacks the problem from every angle and comes to the conclusion that there’s no way to have a relationship and to follow her dream of running for office,” Parks and Recreation showrunner, Michael Schur explains about the series fourth season.

“So, the premiere is about her trying to make a decision about which one she wants to do.”

“The last scene in the premiere is the everything-comes-to-a-head scene with Ben and Leslie. It’s a very interesting, fraught scene. And it was grade-A acting on both of their parts. I’m really excited to see how people react.”

Schur also says season four will see Tom’s (Aziz Ansari) new business “overlap with regular parks business” and that viewers will also meet a member of Jerry’s (Jim O’Heir) family.

10:30pm – Monday, July 23 on FOUR

After he is wrongfully accused of sleeping with his former captain’s wife, Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore) relocates from Chicago to Palm Glade, Florida in the season premier of FOUR’s The Glades, screening on Monday, July 23 rd at 10:30pm on FOUR. Speaking about his new character, Australian native Matt Passmore explains that he was first attracted to the project because Jim “leapt off the page” when he read the script.

“I thought [creator] Clifton Campbell had created a great character,” Passmore explains. “There’s a lot of scripts where you read great characters and that sort of thing, but there was something about this guy that I thought I kind of got him.”

“Whether you’re his equal or his boss, if you do something stupid, he’s going to call you an idiot,” Passmore continues.

“He’s the smartest guy in the room and he’s not going to apologise for it. Why apologise for it? [He's] getting the job done. If someone else wants to be a baby and get snarky because they got their feelings hurt, then that’s their problem.”

However, Passmore says that although Jim appears to be a “jerk”, he actually has a heart of gold. “The charm about him is that he’s not a bad guy, he’s not a nasty person,” he says. “He steps on people’s toes and he’s the kind of character that doesn’t really care. But the people that he does care about and starts to care about, they’re the cracks… You see these little moments where his heart does become a little more exposed.”

Make sure not to miss your first introduction to Matt Passmore’s Jim Longworth when The Glades premieres on Monday, July 23 rd at 10:30pm on FOUR.

New Girl comes to an emotional end when Nick (Jake Johnson) makes a decision regarding his future in the season one season finale, screening on Tuesday, July 17 th at 8pm on FOUR. The episode, titled “See ya”, sees Nick putting all of his stock in his relationship with ex-girlfriend, Caroline (Mary Elizabeth Ellis).

“I don’t think she knows she’s the worst,” Jake Johnson says of Caroline, Nick’s kryptonite. “A big part of Nick really has it together and is really smart, but she brings out the worst in him. Everything about Nick that’s bad works with Caroline.”

“The reason nobody else wants him with her is because together, they’re the worst – the hard thing is that Mary Elizabeth is the best,” Johnson adds.

So where does all this leave Jess (Zooey Deschanel)?

“People always come up randomly and want to have discussions on why I haven’t kissed her yet,” the actor continues. “They’re like, ‘Dude, how come you haven’t made a move?’ And I’m like, ‘Dude, it’s not reality, it’s a TV show. And I don’t have the power to make decisions.’”

But with the series’ conclusion, Johnson hints that “something” will happen on the Jess/Nick romance front. “I can’t say much, but she and I are alone in the desert and things happen with the evolution of that relationship,” he says.
