7:30pm – Wednesday, December 26 on FOUR

It’s Boxing Day, and FOUR is celebrating with a special encore screening of the Gwyneth Paltrow Glee instalment, screening on Wednesday, December 26 th at 7:30pm on FOUR. Titled “The Substitute”, the episode sees the Oscar-winning actress joining Glee as Holly Holliday, a substitute teacher who takes over New Directions when Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) falls ill.

“Gwyneth Paltrow is a genius,” Matthew Morrison said during filming. “Who knew that she was such a triple threat? Great dancer, great singer, obviously a great actress – I just had the best time.”

“Our set is kind of like a playground – especially [for] the ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ number,” Morrison continued, revealing how Paltrow will be joining his character for a mash-up of Rihanna’s “Umbrella”.

“We were just having so much fun like, splashing each other, getting each other wet. It was fun!”

6:30pm – Sunday, December 23 on FOUR

It’s the moment Survivor fans have been waiting for – the Survivor: Philippines final! The three-hour Survivor: Philippines final and reunion special screens on Sunday, December 23 rd at 6:30pm on FOUR. This week’s three-hour Survivor: Philippines season finale promises lots of emotional fireworks as the jury interviews the final castaways before voting for the winner. Once the winner is revealed, all 18 castaways reunite to discuss the season.

7:00pm – Thursday, December 20 on FOUR

There’s over three hours of festivities on FOUR this evening when viewers are treated to back-to-back Christmas specials across all your favourite Thursday night viewing.

Kicking off at 7pm, The Simpsons sees Lisa searching for a new religion after Mr. Burns takes over her church and runs it like a corporation. Following this, viewers are treated to a quirky Christmas-themed Family Guy which sees The Griffins enjoying a Merry Christmas, even though Lois and her carefully laid holiday plans fall apart.

In The Cleveland Show Christmas special at 8pm, Cleveland accidentally lets it slip to Rallo that his father is not who he thinks he is, devastating Rallo and destroying his Christmas spirit.

Screening at 8:30pm, American Dad gives viewers a somewhat different Christmas which sees Stan die on Christmas Eve, then wreaking havoc in purgatory while trying to return to his family.

A double Family Guy Christmas-themed episode follows, before Cops wraps up the evening’s Christmas viewing with a special Christmas instalment titled “Ho! Ho! Ho!”. Make sure not to miss all this when FOUR brings you back-to-back Christmas festivities from 7pm on Thursday, December 20th .

It’s the time fans have been waiting for – this week sees four couples putting it all on the line in the hope of winning $100,000 in prize money in the Beauty and the Geek Australia finale, screening on Monday, December 17 th at 7:30pm on FOUR. This week’s unmissable finale sees the series’ remaining four couples compete in fairytalethemed challenges. Following this, the final four will give a speech about their partner! Deadwood co-stars, Garret Dillahunt and Sean Bridgers are reunited onscreen when Bridgers guest stars in Raising Hope, continuing its second season on Friday, December 14 th at 8pm on FOUR. The episode, titled “Kidnapped”, will see the former Deadwood stars raise a new kind of havoc when Burt Chance (Garret Dillahunt) gets kidnapped in the flashback instalment.

“Me and Sean will have a lot to do in this episode,” Dillahunt explains, “he’s heavily involved in the flashbacks.” Adding: “How’s that? Is that vague enough as a tease?”

9:00pm – Tuesday, December 11 on FOUR

Could there be trouble in paradise for Whitney (Whitney Cummings)? Find out when Grammy Award-winning rapper, Eve guest stars in Whitney, screening on Tuesday, December 11 th at 9pm on FOUR. This week’s unmissable instalment, titled “Something Old, Something New” sees Whitney suspicious that Alex (Chris D’Elia) may have fooled around behind her back at a strip club, forcing her to confront the stripper (Eve) in question.

Their encounter proves very eye-opening for Whitney, and not just because Eve’s character, Britnee calls her a “fat Kate Middleton.”

This week sees June (Dreama Walker) finding herself attracted to James (James Van Der Beek) after she learns he may be chosen as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in Don’t Trust the B*** in Apartment 23, continuing its latest, second season on Tuesday, December 11 th at 8:30pm on FOUR. The instalment, titled “Sexy People…”, picks up with Chloe (Krysten Ritter) swooping into the People Magazine offices in an attempt to put James on the cover. “She takes over as managing editor of People magazine,” series creator Nahnatchka Khan explains. “She does the old intimidation/confusion tactic.”

“I volunteer at a soup kitchen so I can get my picture taken for People magazine, but then I leave as soon as the photographers do,” adds Van Der Beek. “The security guards do not find that acceptable, so I get busted for ladling and leaving.”

The city council election in Pawnee is coming, but before Election Day, the candidates – Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and Bobby Newport (guest star Paul Rudd) – will put it all on the line in this week’s Parks and Recreation, screening on Tuesday, December 4 th at 10pm on FOUR.

This week sees Leslie publicly debating her chief rival, Bobby Newport.

“He is just a likeable guy,” Poehler explains about guest star Paul Rudd’s character, Bobby Newport.

“What Bobby Newport has and what is played so beautifully by Paul is an ease,” the actress continues. “Leslie’s biggest nightmare is not a tough opponent who is fierce and mean. Her biggest nightmare is a guy who doesn’t even really want the job.”

It’s the beginning of the end of TGS as 30 Rock kicks off its seventh and final season on Tuesday, December 4 th at 9:30pm on FOUR. “It is very bittersweet,” series star, Jane Krakowski explains about the series ending its seven-year run. “I think it’s going to be very hard to hear, ‘that is a series wrap’ for all of us. I think we are all very aware this is as good as it gets.” After seven years, some cast members, like Katrina Bowden, have literally grown into adulthood on the show.

“I’m just going to miss my family on 30 Rock. I was 17 when I started,” Bowden explains. “Every learning experience has been partly because of this show. It’s definitely something I will never forget.”

As for series star and creator, Tina Fey, she says: “The thing I know for sure that I’m the most proud of having done over the past seven years is keeping 200 people or more employed doing TV in New York City.”

“Our crew has mostly stayed together. That’s the biggest deal, that we’ve all had a job every day.” 30 Rock enters its final, seventh season on Tuesday, December 4 th at 9:30pm on FOUR.

Following last week’s Dawson’s Creek reunion, this week’s Don’t Trust the B*** in Apartment 23 Halloween-themed instalment sees Chloe (Krysten Ritter) getting a new love interest! Don’t Trust the B*** in Apartment 23 continues its latest, second season on Tuesday, December 4 th at 8:30pm on FOUR. “Her biggest pet peeve is a chick flick,” Ritter reveals, explaining that Chloe will be stuck in that type of situation when she reconnects with Benjamin (Ben Lawson), on whom she’s playing her annual prank.

When the tables are turned and she realises her feelings for him, “She freaks out,” Ritter continues. “I don’t think Chloe knows how to respond in that space. She has a little bit of a meltdown. She’s a total spaz all of a sudden and has lost control for the first time.”
