7:30pm – Tuesday, May 10 on FOUR

This week sees the return of Bernard Curry to our screens when the Home and Away actor hosts the Australian version of the series which sees eight beauties and eight geeks paired up in a number of challenges designed to test their social and intellectual skills. Beauty and the Geek Australia premieres on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:30pm on FOUR.

Bernard will be in the middle of the action, as Australia’s “beauties” and “geeks” are paired up as couples for the ultimate social experiment, competing for $100,000 in prize money.

Formerly portraying Hugo Austin on Home and Away, Bernard has the right mix of “beauty and geek” to host this series, confessing to an unusual love of quantum physics.

“I’m very interested in quantum mechanics and physics,” he says. “I’ve read a fair bit about it and am fascinated by how deep it is. I’m looking forward to chatting to some of the guys about it.”

In Beauty and the Geek Australia the stunning girls and genius guys will live together and be teamed up as they compete in hilarious and heart-warming challenges to test their intellect and social skills. Along the way they’ll grow and learn as they battle it out for the prize package.

“People will love this show because of its warm-hearted centre,” Bernard continues. “It’s about celebrating differences and audiences will identify with both the geeks and beauties because there’s a little bit of both in all of us.”

Make sure to join Bernard Curry for your first introduction to the “beauties” and “geeks” when Beauty and the Geek Australia premieres on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:30pm on FOUR.

4:30pm – weekdays on FOUR

With the New Zealand Comedy Festival in town, Drew and Shannon Live are bringing you some of the funniest local and international comedians in studio, weekdays at 4:30pm on FOUR.

After catapulting to fame with various stunts on the Jackass and Wildboyz series, movies and tours, Steve-O is live in studio on Thursday, May 12th, for an interview with Drew and Shannon.

“Steve-O is an absolute legend, so for us to get a chance to have him in the studio is such a great opportunity,” says Drew Neemia.

Having publicly acknowledged his battles with drugs and alcohol, Steve-O has now been sober for almost three years. But has his new found sobriety affected his penchant for dangerous and ridiculous behaviour?

Co-host Shannon Ryan hopes the stunt-man will allow her to try out a stunt of her own, at his expense, live on air.

“I’m hoping he won’t rule out letting me wax his legs or back. I can tell by looking at pictures that his chest is already done,” she admits.

So will Steve-O be willing to be pranked, or will he have some tricks of his own in store for Drew and Shannon when he pays them a visit? Find out on Drew and Shannon Live, screening on Thursday, May 12th at 4:30pm on FOUR.

Following last seasons’ action-packed finale which saw Nathan (Robert Sheehan) discover he was immortal by waking up in a coffin after being buried following a rooftop fall, this week sees the highly anticipated return of the second season of Misfits, premiering on Thursday, May 5th at 9:30pm on FOUR.

Leading up to this week’s premiere, Robert Sheehan has revealed that his character will escape from his coffin early in the season.

“I would have liked to have been stuck in [the coffin] for the whole of series two, because that would have meant just coming into work every day, lying down horizontally and scratching my arse for 12 hours,” Sheehan joked to Last Broadcast. “I don’t think it would have made very gripping telly [though], so… I manage to get out.”

The actor also confirmed that Nathan would be forced to use his new power throughout the season.

“It kind of unintentionally gets used, in the sense that I get murdered and killed in very imaginative and strange and gruesome ways,” he explained. “But of course, the power kicks in, so it’s not detrimental to my survival. And it also serves to make me far more arrogant and annoying.”

Make sure not to miss this, as well as your first introduction to a new mystery superhero character when Misfits returns for its brand new second season on Thursday, May 5th at 9:30pm on FOUR.

8:00pm – Thursday, May 5 on FOUR

LeBron James and six fellow NBA All-Stars make a fast break to Cleveland Brown’s hometown of Stoolbend, Virginia, on The Cleveland Show, screening on Thursday, May 5th at 8pm on FOUR.

“Cleveland and Donna go to L.A. to see the NBA All-Star Game,” explains executive producer Mike Henry (who also voices Cleveland) about the star-studded episode.

“Cleveland gets appropriately drunk and starts heckling the players, and they get their feelings hurt. They all come together and vow to go to Virginia and track Cleveland down and set him straight.”

Henry says he had little trouble recruiting his animated dream team – which includes Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics, Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks, Shaquille O’Neal of the Celtics, and the Miami Heat’s James and Dwyane Wade.

“All of these guys were funny. Shaq actually improvised. LeBron had to break down and cry for his role,” he says.

“It was quite a treat to get these guys who were funny, because so often [with celebrity cameos] your fear is that you’re going to have work them over to get anything halfway usable. Every single one of these guys did good reads.”

Make sure not to miss the results of these when The Cleveland Show continues its latest season on Thursday, May 5th at 8pm on FOUR.

8:30pm – Tuesday, May 3 on FOUR

10:30pm – Monday, May 2 on FOUR

Former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek begins his guest stint in FOUR’s Mercy when the series continues its latest season on Monday, May 2nd at 10:30pm on FOUR.

Leading up to his guest appearance, James Van Der Beek spoke to E! News about his new role, revealing that he will be sticking around the Mercy hospital for at least eight to 10 episodes.

But before fans get nostalgic for Van Der Beek’s Dawson’s Creek days, the actor says that what Dawson lacked, his new character brings tenfold.

“He might be a womaniser, he has dark secrets possibly, he might have a gambling addiction,” Van Der Beek teases.

“He’s somebody who is kind of self-righteous, and he’s not at all precious with anybody else’s feelings. He’s got a goal; he goes for it, and he doesn’t really care who he upsets. He’s really playful in a way that almost borders nasty.”

He admits he was drawn to the role because he was fascinated by a specific question about his character’s personality:

“He’s somebody who just considers himself the smartest guy in the room and is right 90 percent of the time. So what happens in that extra 10 percent, when he’s not right? What happens then?”

Find out when James Van Der Beek’s head of the ICU, Dr. Joe Briggs, joins Mercy on Monday, May 2nd at 10:30pm on FOUR.
