Pissed off with Nightline?
just wondering if anyone else is pissed off with Nightline on TV3?
I’ve watched Nightline for as long as I can remember. But lately it seems to be this massive anti-government moan fest .
Every Nightline update is bitching about the Government.
Tonight was another classic example.
In both their updates and Opener they proclaimed the government was trying to stiff charitable causes, and claimed Pig farmers wanted to have the government’s health minister locked up, for calling a Flu caused by Swine ‘Swine Flu’ rather than H1N1.
I notice it most when your compare what Nightline covers with what is covered in the news at 6 o’clock, and on Tonight on TV1, it looks pretty bad for Nightline.
I’m not sure who produces Nightline these days, but I’m guessing it’s no longer Rebecca Singh, which is really a shame, because she used to make such a cool show.
It’s also weird, because since we now know she is openly lesbian, you would think she would be really in the tank for Labour, but she always seemed really balanced.
Even if you think there has been no political bias, something must have changed, because their ratings are nowhere near as good as they used to be.
I won’t stop watching cause I really like the Internet stuff David Farier does, and I always watch Sports tonight. But I’m not really chuffed with their News.
I reckon TV News channels must hate it now that anyone can just come on the internet and bitch about their coverage. But I wonder if anyone at TV3 will read this (maybe reply)?
