Ted West is reunited with his true love, Rita. But she has a secret – and he has a lot to prove if he’s to get back on top of his gang, and his game…

New Zealand joins together for the Commonwealth Games as Ted West gets out of jail after a three year stretch for the Smith & Caughey’s cockup. Ted finds he’s been deposed as leader of his gang, and is determined to weed out the rat who put him in jail. On the home front, Wolf resents his father being back, and Rita has problems of her own, including a tenacious young admirier. But should Ted go out on his own to prove his mettle? He has a lot to prove if he’s to get back on top of his game.

Westside begins TONIGHT, 8.30pm on TV3.

Guy, Sharon and Clint will be back on our screens tonight to highlight the very bumpy season that was The X Factor NZ.

The show airs on TV3 instead of FOUR and begins at 7.30pm in glorious HD.

westside_storyA start date for the much anticipated Outrageous Fortune prequel, Westside, has been announced!

The six-part series will screen on TV3 from Sunday 31st May, and follow the lives of Ted and Rita West in the 1970’s.

The kiwi band were also behind Outrageous Fortune’s zingy theme, Gutter Black.

The track was released in 1977, the same decade in which Westside is based.

Wolfgang West will be portrayed by two young kiwi actors in Westside; Ages 11-13 is Reon Bell, while a teenage Wolfgang is played by Liam Ferguson.
