VIBE – Tuesday 24 April, 8.30pm

Based on the best-selling novel by John Grisham comes a thriller about a young law student whose theory about the recent deaths of two Supreme Court justices embroils her in a web of greed, corruption and murder that reaches to the very top of the United States government. Telly Paretta is tormented by the memory of her eight-year-old son Sam’s death in a plane crash 14 months ago. While trying to work through her grief, and her subsequent estrangement from her husband, she is informed by her psychiatrist that she is suffering from delusions, that her son never existed and she is fabricating his memories. Stunned, she tries to find evidence of Sam’s existence – photos, videos, scrapbooks. But it has all disappeared. Starring Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore (The Hours) and Dominic West (The Wire).

A deaf girl witnesses a murder in this stylish British crime thriller. Eighteen-year-old Amelia Edwards (Genevieve Barr) has recently been fitted with a cochlear implant, enabling her to hear but she struggles to accept that she has a place in the hearing world. Breaking free from her over-protective parents, she goes to stay with her party-loving cousins, homicide detective uncle, Jim, and vibrant aunt, Maggie. But when Amelia witnesses the audacious murder of a policewoman, she is reluctantly propelled further into a loud and frightening world. Also starring Gina McKee (Notting Hill), Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Douglas Henshall (Primeval) and Dervla Kirwan (Ballykissangel).

In the few short days before these two separate, they discover love, choices and the consequences that will stay with both of them for the rest of their lives. Based on the novel by Robert James Walker.

The pressures of finishing her thesis at prestigious university and earning a position with a premier consulting firm have Katie Burke seeing things. She still hasn’t gotten over her freshman romance two years earlier with Embry, and his mysterious disappearance without a trace still haunts her. The trail is cold, but detective Wade Handler, a recovering alcoholic, enters Katie’s chaotic campus life to put the pieces of Embry’s vanishing and of his own life together. Starring Katie Holmes (Batman Begins) and Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality).
