VIBE – Thursday 20 December, 7.30pm

With a gown, a sash and a thirst for world peace, almost 90 contestants from the world over are descending upon Las Vegas to compete for the 2012 Miss Universe crown. Amongst their ranks, from Auckland’s North Shore is 26-year-old Talia Bennett, who, alongside the other competitors, will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Angolan beauty Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event, held in the auspicious surrounds of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Hosts Giuliana Rancic (E! News) and Andy Cohen (Watch What Happens Live) promise an exciting show with all of the additional glitter that the lead up to Christmas brings.

Based on the novel by Maeve Binchy, this touching story follows two women — one American, one Irish – who swap houses and alter the course of their lives. Starring: Olivia Williams and Andie MacDowell.

VIBE – Friday 14 December, 8.30pm

Drama: Five interweaving vignettes beautifully illustrate a particular group of men and women whose lives – over the course of a few days – will become entangled, eroded and enriched, and ultimately changed forever. Starring: Glenn Close, Cameron Diaz, Calista Flockhart and Holly Hunter.

As toddlers rampage through call centres, will Addison Lee prove that business and babies don’t mix? A provocative documentary that looks at the controversial world of clandestine cross-feeding and wet nursing for new mothers and their babies. Kate Garraway – herself a mother – is on an investigative mission to meet some of the growing number of women who share each other’s milk. Garraway talks to a range of people who believe that the only proper milk to feed is from the breast, including sisters who cross-feed, women who can produce milk despite having never been pregnant, surrogate mothers who produce milk for donation, and a cancer sufferer who believes he has been cured by breast milk.
