VIBE – Monday 24 September, 12.00pm (live) and 7.30pm (highlights)

The stars of the small screen will be out for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted for the first time by late night talk show legend Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel promises to deliver a fast-paced, humorous, unpredictable and irreverent show that celebrates the very best television has to offer, with a few unconventional tweaks of his own thrown in for good measure. “Here’s the thing: We’re not going to give out any awards,” Kimmel said. “What I’m actually going to do is take an Emmy and chop it into a million pieces and hand everyone just a little bit of it, and then the whole night will be nothing but entertainment and maybe some mixed martial arts.” With Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Boardwalk Empire, Girls and Veep all featuring in this year’s nominations, the 64th Primetime Emmy� Awards are a television lover’s cornucopia.

The perfect girls’ night in is guaranteed on Vibe, with a feature film every Friday night at 8.30pm, this week The Others – The house is old, the piano plays when there’s no one there and strange voices are heard. Anyone would assume they’re living in a haunted house, wouldn’t they? Starring Nicole Kidman and Christopher Eccleston.

VIBE – Tuesdays from 18 September, 8.30pm

As if motherhood wasn’t demanding enough, top-ranking detective Janine Lewis has another murder to deal with.Detective Lewis (Caroline Quentin, Jonathan Creek) is a single mum who’s been deserted by a wayward husband. She strives to balance the responsibilities of her high-powered career and close-knit team with the demands of home life and is all set for a weekend away with her three children when a vicious killing intervenes. Given just 48 hours to track down the murderer, she has to contend with an array of difficult suspects, none of whom are revealing quite as much as they could.

VIBE – Sundays from 16 September, 8.30pm

Gok Wan is back to teach cash-strapped Britain the tricks of the trade for looking good and feeling fabulous. From Liverpool to Bristol, Birmingham to Southampton, Gok is taking his brand new catwalk show – Supermarket Chic vs. High Street – on the road. Coming to the rescue of women in need of a style injection, Gok aims to deliver show-stopping looks on a shoestring budget, creating entire outfits for the princely sum of �50. Along the way, Gok will draw upon his haberdashery expertise to offer helpful tips on following the latest fashion trends at a fraction of the budget, while his dedicated team of ‘Roadtesters’ will be putting the High Street through its paces in the hunt for the most affordable jeans, jumpsuits, blazers, lace dresses and pencil skirts.

The perfect girls’ night in is guaranteed on Vibe, with a feature film every Friday night at 8.30pm, this week Not Forgotten – In a Tex-Mex border town, a man and his wife must face their long-forgotten, tortured pasts in order to save their kidnapped daughter. Starring Simon Baker and Chloe Grace Moretz.

VIBE – Sundays from 9 September, 5.40pm

This sweeping, Emmy-nominated miniseries classic celebrates the indomitable spirit of one woman in the face of adversity. Based on the phenomenally successful novel by Barbara Taylor Bradford, the saga of Emma Harte’s awe-inspiring climb from impoverished shop girl to head of a vast retail empire is one of sheer determination. Honorary Academy Award winner Deborah Kerr (The King & I) and Jenny Seagrove (Judge John Deed) share the title role of the iron-willed Emma Harte, with Liam Neeson (Love Actually) as Emma’s lifelong friend Blackie O’Neill, and Barry Bostwick (Cougar Town) as love interest Paul McGill.

That new life happens to be in the quirky village of Trefelin where Prem finds himself tackling adversity with charm, Kamini attempts to find any excuse to leave and the village finds that the Sharmas might be just what the doctor ordered.

Vibe’s new eight-part observational documentary series follows the gruelling journey of seven junior doctors as they begin a three-month posting at one of Australia’s busiest hospitals. From day one they are thrown in at the deep end with heart attacks, car accidents, binge drinkers, embarrassing procedures and difficult patients who look them in the eye and ask, “How many times have you done this before?” The series will track the doctors at work as well as providing fly-on-the-wall coverage of their home lives, socialising, recreation and sharing their emotional ups and downs.
