Michael is a successful man with a thriving military career and happy home life with wife Sarah and their daughters. By contrast, his younger brother Jannik is never far from trouble, and he is released from jail the very day Michael is sent to Afghanistan on a peacekeeping mission. When Michael's helicopter goes down - and he is presumed dead - the younger sibling decides it's time to reform, and he becomes a support for Sarah and the girls. Michael eventually reappears, but his experiences have left him with severe psychological issues. The weak is stronger, the strong is weaker - have the brothers' roles have reversed forever? Filmed in front of a studio audience at Maori Television's Auckland base, performers travel with their supporters from all around the motu to be part of the fun, entertain the crowd - and have a crack at winning the hearts and text votes of the audience. With Matai Smith as host, and side support from past HOMAI TE PAKIPAKI contestants. Viewers' votes will once again decide at the end of the night who will win the weekly prize of $1,000, plus the chance to compete in the grand final for $10,000.
