Easter 2010

EASTER 2010: Delayed broadcast from the Vatican in Rome of the Way of the Cross at the Colosseum led by the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI. Then, Easter Mass presided over by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter's Square followed by his Easter Message and Blessing "Urbi et Orbi".

DOCNZ: A Preview Of The 4th Annual Documentary Edge Festival

Triangle TV Tuesdays at 8pm; Stratos TV Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm

The festival itself screens in Auckland at the Rialto, Newmarket 27 February – 14 March and in Wellington at Angelika at Reading Cinemas Courtenay and the City Art Gallery 13 – 28 March.

54 films from 25 countries, selected from over 560 entries, of which 11 are World premieres, 8 are international premieres, 18 are Asia-Pacific premieres, 9 are Australasian premieres, 10 are NZ premieres and 16 will screen in competition.

A selection of documentaries from this and previous festivals will be broadcast by Triangle and Stratos later in the year.

YTN Korean News Premiere

YTN KOREAN NEWS: a daily news programme in Korean will join the international news lineup in the daytime schedules from 1 March onwards.

Background: Founded in 1993, YTN is the only 24-hour news channel in Korea. With its news broadcasting licence granted in 1993, YTN first aired in 1995. Overseas satellite broadcasting was launched in 2001,and Korean news worldwide satellite broadcasting made its first appearance in 2003. The news service spans the globe featuring breaking news, current topics, the economy, culture, science, and sports.  It also updates information on weather, leisure, real estate, finance, and household asset management, reaching our audience with news that enriches their lives.

Previews of the 4th Annual Documentary Edge Festival

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on Stratos from February 15

Triangle Stratos has been selected by DOCNZ Trust to team with it as its free-to-air broadcast partner for its annual Documentary Festival starting February 27.

The festival will include 54 films from 25 countries, selected from over 560 entries, of which 11 are World premieres, 8 are international premieres, 18 are Asia-Pacific premieres, 9 are Australasian premieres, 10 are NZ premieres and 16 will screen in competition.

Triangle will screen a series of 15 minutes items from Feb 15 to give festival goers a taste of what they can expect to see when the festival begins.

The festival itself will screen in Auckland at the Rialto, Newmarket from February 27 – March 14 and in Wellington at Angelika at Reading Cinemas Courtenay and the City Art Gallery from March 13 – 28.
