Muslim detective, Zane Malik, is fighting crime in a post 9/11 world, an Australian-Arab man fighting suspicion and fear to prove himself. His nemesis is another detective, Crowley, an old school operator more interested in getting a result than following the rules. Their battle of wills plays out in the series, a quest for dominance that also serves as a metaphor for the fear that exists between the eastern and western worlds. Tonight: Mr and Mrs Ngo have been killed. So who stands to inherit the family wealth? Or should Malik be more concerned with the discovery that Mr Ngo was once a witness of a gangland murder?
