voice_uk_willThe Edge radio station this morning said that a New Zealand clothing chain is bringing Will.i.am for a 24 hour visit but that there is something else he’ll be doing while he’s here.

Of course, it could be a visit to Starship but our guess is that he’ll be making an appearance of sorts on The X Factor New Zealand.

In case they leave you hanging in the ad breaks this evening, use this as your reference to relieve the tension with this helpful screen grab courtesy of TVNZ.

The celebrity marry-go-round is a fascinating beast to watch sometimes.  Up and coming stars shacking up with bigger names and then ditching them once they’ve forged their own path is all too common.  As is the term, irreconcilable differences.

To note that That 70′s Show star Ashton Kutcher is divorcing Demi Moore and plans to wed and start a family with Mila Kunis, his onscreen girlfriend from 15 years ago, you’d have to wonder how much of a waste of time the entire facade has been. Does anyone really believe in real life Hollywood love stories anymore?

And as for That 70′s Show, will we ever see this or were the 90′s just not that cool? Continue reading »

Do we have more victims of reality TV? After seeing some of the disagreements on The Block NZ, would it be surprising?

No doubt if there is any truth to this it will come out in the wash tonight during the live final.

Update: Another Mediaworks employee is denying any truth the to the rumor.  Time will no doubt tell.

First it was The GC.  Up next are The Ridges.  But who is going to be the next local celebrity to pimp themselves to TV programmers in the hopes of becoming a Kardashian?

Rumor has it that Maori entertainer Mika has been swanning around New Zealand Fashion Week with a film crew “filming a pilot”.

This begs some questions.  Is this the start of a new trend where those in the spot light open up their lives for TV viewers?  If so, who would you like to see?  Who would you not?

Paul Holmes?  Mark Sainsbury?  Charlotte Dawson?  I’m pretty sure both lists would be fairly similar.

It seems as though an hour on Intrepid Journey is no longer enough for celebrity exposure.

Question: Why do they advertise UK ex tv DVD shows on free to air TV

Answer: because it is the only entertainment you will get these holidays

I just spent $2.20 inc GST on “TV menu book” for my first few week on holidays, what a waste of money I should of – and I strongly recommend you should put that money towards DVD’s

On the front coverf it had “FOR ALL YOUR CHRISTMAS VIEWING” I wrote under it “I dont think so” this was called “The TVGUIDE” I renamed it to “The SHITGUIDE”

The hit ABC show True Beauty is currently screening its second season in the States. It maybe be reality trash but its brilliant and hopefully one of New Zealands TV channels will pick it up ASAP. Other shows we are missing out on are the latest installments of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. The current Bachelorette is one of the best ever… particularly with Justin ‘Rated R’ Rego, a wrestler from Canada. If TVNZ and TV3 wont pick it up hopefully SKY will. Maybe its about time SKY launced a new channel committed to this type of TV show. If no one comes to the party, the only option maybe tvshack.cc … dare i say it!

I’ve heard a rumor that within the next month we will see new opening titles for Shortland Street!
The current opening sequence already contains a number of characters who have left the show, such as Alice Piper and Kip Denton so it is definitely due!

Spy gossip columnist Rachel Glucina today said that judge Simon Gault confirmed the winner to her at a recent Nosh party.

If you want to find out who she says won, highlight the following hidden text:

“We predicted more than a month ago that pretty Kelly would return to the show she was ousted from and go on to win it. And we were right. Simon Gault confirmed it at the Nosh party when he asked me: ‘How did you know Kelly wins?’”

Personally, I hope she’s wrong just because I’m not a fan of her snarky comments in her column, nothing to do with the contestants at all!
