Some interesting points:

• Both shows grew their audience in 2009 compared with 2008.
• Campbell Live's biggest audience was well below Close Up's average audience.
• Close Up's biggest audience was on a night when Campbell Live did not air - not due to a major story breaking.  In fact, apart from the pig story, none of the other top rating episodes of Close Up appeared to have had major interviews or stories.  However, Campbell Live's horse neglect allegations story did boost their audience significantly.
• Close Up's lowest rating episode of the year was embarrassingly their Christmas Special.
