Close-Up Really Behind the Ball
First Campbell Live had the story on the power cuts when Close Up neglected to cover it. Next Campbell Live managed to get an interview with those people accusing Robin Brooke of doing whatever he did to them. Tonight it sounds like John Key will front up on Campbell Live to discuss the tax changes, while Close Up talks to Robin Brooke which is old news.
What's going on over at TVNZ? Complacency? Lack of resources?

Wasn't it Campbell Live that broke the story in the first place and then berated Robin Brooke afterwards? No surprise he went to Close Up for the "exclusive" but very awesome that the apology was still aired on Campbell Live only a few minutes later.

Is that a first? Good on Campbell Live for using Close Up's footage from that night! Classic moment!

Though.. big ups to C.L for being adult enough to recognise that the Brooke admission was big news.. and use Close Up footage on their show.

I like how you say Close Up is behind the ball.. and applaud Campbell Live.. and then Campbell Live are forced to use footage from that "behind the ball" programme on tonight's show showing Robin Brooke admit to groping that girl. John Key seems to front on anything.. so Campbell Live getting him wasn't exactly difficult. That's not a criticism of John Key, as a voter I like that he seems to be open to media whenever they want to ask him things. As a impartial viewer though, Close Up seemed to win tonight.
