Lost | The Cult | Questions

Look how similar the promotional photos are for Lost and The Cult

Is it just me or do these promotional photos from Lost and The Cult look like they could be mixed together and come from the same show?

So, NOT time travel then. So we have flashbacks and a single flashforward... Hmm...

It seemed like a  flashforward to me

Ah, you mean just like that other TV show called Lost?

Actually, sorry Aaron, that was a bit snarky. Reading through I agree with a lot of your other comments on the show. It's just the idiots with their 'should have been more explosions and hitting' type comments that got my feeling annoyed.

It seemed like a  flashforward to me, not time travel. But if it floats your boat to think otherwise then go for it. Wouldn't want to distract you from your moaning.

There wasn't any time travel

In the final episode Daniel some how travelled to 2011 (he looked at the date on the newspaper). That's when he was watching Michael, Gina etc get out of a vehicle with what looked like a body wrapped up.

But if you "actually freaking loved this programme" you would have noticed.

It wasn't just the promotional photos that were similar.

Off the top of my head their was also flashbacks, parental issues, time travel, back gammon.

I don't remember backgammon (it must not have been an essential scene in any way shape or form), but every freaking programme in the world has parental issues, so you hardly suggest that's a rip off of lost. There wasn't any time travel, so actually that just leaves flashbacks...

I actually freaking loved this programme and it kind of disgusts me that so many people are suddennlly jumping on the bandwagon and attacking it because the ratings weren't that great.

It wasn't a perfect programme, sure, but it had loads of great things about it also, and it pushed boundries like most NZ programmes utterly fail to do. The the way it's being treated just shows that the lame New Zealand attitude to our own work is alive and well.

Schadenfreude. Look it up.

Thank god for that one woman who write that review on the series in the Herald, actually saying why so many people, as I did, liked the show.

For some people it was just too complicated for them, it was hard work and they didn't get it or like it, that's the main problem the programme had. But some people loved it.

The Lost pics just came out, well after The Cult promo pics.

Kiwis love tearing down other kiwis. Its a sad fact. Its in our cold nature.

In fact the producers of The Cult did say it was going to be "Lost meets Prison Break".

Individual creativity FAIL.

Ironically Lost has a cult following, where as The Cult lost most of its viewers!!

Wacca-wacca-wacca!
