Possible names for Cougar Town

The team behind Cougar Town are reportedly testing new names for the comedy series. Some of the names bandied around include: Friends and Family, The End of the Street, The Neighbourhood, The Cul De Sac Neighbourhood and Jules Neighbourhooding.

Rove close to US TV slot

Australian comedian Rove McManus is close to seizing a spot on daytime television in the US with CBS developing a show for him. Rove has filmed a pilot episode of the talk show with a working title Say It Now.

Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm - TV2

The moment Seinfeld fans have been waiting for arrives on TV2 tonight, as the special reunion episode comes together in the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Larry (Larry David) is hopeful that his plan to win Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) back is working when she invites him over to her house to review the Seinfeld reunion script. But when he inadvertently offends the studio coffee guy, his attempts to make peace cause Larry to miss the date, and Cheryl turns to Jason Alexander (as himself) for coaching instead. A jealous Larry decides to rewrite the end of the episode, causing Jason to quit in protest. With no one to play George, Larry insists he can step into the role, but the cast have some doubts about his interpretation of the character.

Can the reunion special come together in time for the long-awaited broadcast, and will Cheryl be won over by Larry's charms?

Gervais on Curb

Comedian Ricky Gervais has reportedly signed on to appear in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The Office creator will play as himself in the episode with further details kept under wraps. The next season of the series is set for next year.

Underbelly lawsuit

The woman who took legal action over the portrayal of her in Underbelly: The Golden Mile is now suing the network and production company for defamation. The ex-NSW policewoman is claiming the character of Wendy (Jessica Tovey) is based on her and that her relationship with club kingpin John Ibrahim was never sexual as it is portrayed in the crime drama series.

Teen Wolf for MTV

MTV has picked up a new series based on the 1980s movie Teen Wolf. The network has ordered 12 episodes of the revamped series which is described as being less comedic than the Michael J. Fox starrer was. Tyler Posey will lead a rookie cast in the series which will join the US remake of Skins on the network’s new line-up.

Lost simulcast

UK’s Sky1 network is going to extraordinary lengths to air the Lost finale episode before internet pirates get a hold of it. The network is set to screen the finale at 5am on Monday 24 May, which means it will run simultaneously with the ABC broadcast in the US. They join Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Turkey and Canada in simultaneously broadcasting.

Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm - TV2

The irascible Larry David is back, and a Seinfeld reunion is on the cards in a brand new season of the cantankerous comedy show, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Although Seinfeld cast members Julia Louis Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld have made guest appearances on the show before, this series will see the entire foursome, with Michael Richards, together again for a special reunion episode on Curb Your Enthusiasm from episode three (screening on Wednesday 5 May) until the season finale.

David tells Entertainment Weekly, "This is such a perfect way for us to get together again, because it never would have happened otherwise. Never, ever, ever."

"If we had done a real show, it wouldn't have been as much fun," he continues. "It would've been too intense, really, because that particular episode would have to be so good."

Seinfeld stars to reunite

If there is one reunion to get excited about, this has to be it.

Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards are set to star together again in episodes of the upcoming seventh season of Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Along with Larry David, who co-created the Seinfeld series, none of the cast of the hit sitcom have worked together on a show since 1998.

Seinfeld won an Emmy in 1993 for Outstanding Comedy Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best TV-Series (Comedy) in 1994 while the Screen Actors Guild awarded the show for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 1995, 1997 and 1998.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has been nominated for twenty eight Emmy Awards with one win for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series as well as a Golden Globe for Best Television Comedy in 2003.
