Masterchef to Shunt Fair Go
Fair Go's on-air time is being drastically cut for 2010.
This comes as Masterchef New Zealand is taking the popular 7:30pm Wednesday slot for much of the year.
Word is Kevin Milne has been reduced to 3 days a week, and Fair Go's episode numbers are being reduced considerably next year.

Fair Go Ad Award Winners 2009
The TV ads for Telecom XT have been voted the worst ads of the year by television viewers in the 2009 Fair Go Ad Awards.
Telecom’s new digital XT mobile network was launched by British celebrity, Richard Hammond mid-year in one of the biggest multi-media advertising campaigns we’ve seen in recent years.
Feedback into Fair Go about Telecom XT shows that the negative vote wasn’t necessarily about the advertising, “It seems some of it was driven by viewer’s frustration with the service itself, a rural viewer summed it up by saying that it’s nice having mobile coverage in Andorra or rural Australia but what about my mobile working in Whangarei or rural Northland?”, says Fair Go Editor, Graeme Muir.

7:30pm Wednesday, September 30 on TV One
It's one of the most popular shows on the TV calendar, with almost three quarters of a million people watching last year, but the 2009 Fair Go Ad Awards promises to be even better with the addition of a new interactive element, a retrospective, and a nearly nude Kevin Milne (tonight at 7.30pm on TV ONE).
Viewers were asked to record themselves singing their favourite advertising jingle and send it in to the Fair Go team, the video deemed to be the best will be played during the hour-long special on Wednesday 30 September.
Viewers recorded their own version of classics such as the Chesdale Cheese; Huntley & Palmers; and Wouldn't It Be Nice If The World Was Cadbury jingles and posted them on Facebook. While anyone wanting to rate the jingles could go to Fair Go's Facebook page at www.Facebook.com.

The finalists in the Fair Go Ad Awards have been announced just ahead of the top rating programme going to air.
Almost 750,000 people watched the show last year making it the second highest rating programme of 2008 just behind Dancing with the Stars.
“The response we’ve had from viewers on our message board, webpage and Facebook site shows that interest is high and people really enjoy talking about what they love and hate on the box, so we thought we’d continue the conversation by revealing who is in the running to win the Best and Worst Ads tonight”, says Fair Go Editor, Graeme Muir.
Fair Go believes the downsizing of marketing budgets has had a surprisingly positive affect on the ads this year, “necessity really has been the mother of invention here, the finalists in the Best Ad category are really innovative and funny… it seems that we’ve lost our cultural cringe and found our sense of humour”
