FlashForward Premiere

8:30pm Wednesday, February 10 on TV2

The world's population is given a glimpse of their future, forcing everyone to decide whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided, in TV2's highly anticipated new drama/thriller, FlashForward.

When an unexplained, cataclysmic event knocks out the entire population of the world at the exact same moment, for two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone glimpses their own future six months from now. Then they wake up to chaos. With a troubling vision of his own, LA FBI Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes, Shakespeare In Love) leads an investigation into the mysterious event using the clues he gained from his own flashforward.

Executive producer David Goyer admits to TV Guide USA FlashForward is a boundary-pushing project. "The concept is stupidly ambitious. FlashForward asks, 'What if you knew your destiny? Would you change it? Could you change it? And how would the world be different as a result?'"

Other characters facing these questions are Benford's partner Demetri Noh (John Cho, Star Trek), who is also unnerved by the experience when he reports that he saw nothing, and Benford's wife Olivia (Sonya Walger, Lost), who must come to terms with her own vision, in which she sees the end of her marriage.

"I've read a lot of scripts," says Walger, "and this is one of the best that I've read for television. It leapt off the page at me. Not only is this an adrenalin-filled page-turner but within that, has really interesting, complicated characters. Olivia is really wrestling with real things."

"There is this big epic seismic event that happens, but within that, there are these people dealing with very human, very recognizable emotions. And the scale, the grandeur of the scale, and then the intimacy of what's going on between the people, that seemed to me really unusual and interesting."
