Wipeout's second season won't be filmed for another six months but preparation is already underway. 95% of the course has been changed - but the big balls are staying. There'll also be no helmets so we can see contestants faces better. The show pays roughly $3700NZ in insurance for each contestant.

Battlestar Galactica prequel, Caprica, has been given the green light by Sci Fi Channel. The series will be set 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica.

DC Comic's Fables - about characters from fairy tales living in modern day New York - is to be made for ABC. Characters could include the Big Bad Wolf, Rose Red and Prince Charming.

BBC miniseries House of Saddam will air over two nights on HBO this weekend and is described as a gangster movie similar to The Godfather and Scarface. Read a review »
