Go Girls - TV2

8:30pm Thursday, June 3 on TV2

While Cody (Bronwyn Turei) recently gave in to temptation on Go Girls, this week her husband, Eli (Joe Naufahu), is tested when his former gay lover, Philippe (Gareth Reeves, The Cult) returns to town.

In series one, Eli's relationship with Cody turned Philippe from disgruntled ex to jealous meddler who made several attempts to sabotage their wedding day. This week he returns with a new partner and a dinner invitation for the couple.

Struggling with her own guilty conscience, Cody takes her paranoia regarding Philippe's intentions out on Eli.

Turei explains Cody's situation: "Before Ben (Jared Turner) came back and stirred up old feelings, Cody had just been gloating about how her marriage was going really well.

"Now she is having an ongoing battle with herself over the two men - becoming confused as to why she still has feelings for Ben, yet is still in love with her husband. She starts to push the self-destruct button a little bit I think."

Eli's commitment to Cody is not something he takes lightly but Philippe's return is bound to shake things up for the couple.

Naufahu says, "Eli made the biggest sacrifice he could make. He pretty much turned his back on everything for his wife and he cares deeply for Cody's family. Eli's biggest priority is to be a good husband. He's constantly trying to make it work with his wife."

As Cody strives to fulfil her quest to stay married, a shocking confession could potentially change everything.
