Ice Road Truckers, exposes the lives of truckers who drive one of the world's most dangerous routes - a 350 mile ice highway.

But the highway, situated in northern Canada, is no ordinary transport road. It costs $10 million a year to build and lasts only 60 days! In this short window of time, dozens of 18-wheelers make numerous trips to Canada's remote diamond mines carrying 10,000 loads of provisions which supply the mines and their workers for the entire year.

Once the ice road melts, the mining communities are inaccessible. Focusing on six drivers, this documentary-style reality series reveals a world which most people don't even realise exists.
