Personal preferences: over to your right under "Options" is a pink link entitled "Change my listings". Click on this to change your personal preferences:
- Switch off a channel e.g. I can't get a channel at my house, there's no point even showing me that stuff...
- Hide stuff I hate
- Coming soon: restrict the popularity settings to just my friends (I trust their tastes more than people in general) and more...
Why Now/Soon/Tonight? Why not a TV Grid like everyone else in the world?
We've thought long and hard about TV listings and what we'd like them to be. In fact, we have been planning this for over two years and are so excited to finally have all the permissions side of things sorted to be able to do this. It's different, yes, and may take some getting used to but we think you'll find it better in the long run.
Here's what we didn't like about ordinary TV listings: they're not easy to quickly scan because it's organised by channel. You miss things because you don't check out the right channel's listings. Online TV grids can get so out of line. Fancy ones can take ages to load.
So why not have TV listings which are smarter and not organised by channel? (That shouldn't be the first decision to make, it should be an after thought!) Why not order them by the shows you like? Why not help bring shows to your attention based on what others are watching?
And why not have TV listings which are really simple, and show you the main things you're looking for (what's on now/soon/tonight)? Remove the clutter, make your choice simpler.
