Real Life Brothers Chris and Dylan Bruno Sharing the Screen

Sunday, March 22nd at 9:30pm on TV3

Real life brothers Chris and Dylan Bruno can be seen sharing the screen when Chris (The Dead Zone) joins his brother on this week’s action-packed instalment of Numb3rs, screening on Sunday, March 22nd at 9:30pm on 3.

This week, Chris, best known as Sheriff Bannerman on The Dead Zone, guest-stars as SWAT captain Tim King, who rushes in to save the day when David (Alimi Ballard) is taken hostage inside the FBI building. But even though Chris and Dylan will not get along in the episode Dylan says that every opportunity to work with his brother is always a good one.

“One day they [Numb3rs producers] said, ‘Hey, we're thinking about hiring your brother for this episode, what do you think?’ I was like, ‘That would be awesome!’," Dylan tells American TV Guide.

“It's always a pleasure for us to have that opportunity, and it just makes it really fun for the two of us to just be able to be on each other's show.”

Chris and Dylan have attracted a lot of attention for their on-screen Numb3rs tension. However despite their convincing portrayal, Dylan reveals that in real life they don't usually clash.

“The funny thing is that actually, my brother and I have not really had very many arguments in the course of growing up,” he says.

“I mean, we're pretty far apart in age - six and a half years - and when you're little kids growing up that's just worlds apart.”

But what fans may be interested to learn is that Dylan is not the only Numb3rs cast member that Chris has an existing relationship with. The actor also has some history with Diane Farr who portrays Megan Reeves on the series.

“He and Diane actually have known each other for, gosh, like 18 years now,” says Dylan. “They dated back in college.”

And it was through Chris that Dylan originally met Diane. “When my brother and she were in college, I was still in grammar school, I think I must have been in ninth grade the first time I met her.”

The current season of Numb3rs has been described by both fans and critics alike as the best of the series’ so far, Chris says this is largely to do with legendary director Tony Scott (True Romance, Man on Fire and Déjà vu) directing the season premiere.

“I felt like it gave everybody a new bit of inspiration and all the directors who come in, I mean, they all kind of joke around and say, ‘Wow, I've got to follow Tony Scott’.”

“And it really seems like everybody is up to the challenge and has been really trying to be innovative and do some cool stuff and keep the energy and enthusiasm alive.”

Make sure not to miss this eager cast and real life brothers Chris and Dylan Bruno when Numb3rs screens on Sunday, March 22nd at 9:30pm on 3.
