Season finale
Sunday, October 21st at 9:30pm
One of David's (Alimi Ballard) friends, Ben Ellis, is called into questioning after a man dies while boxing with him in the season final of Numb3rs, screening Sunday, October 21st at 9:30pm.
Inspired by actual events, Numb3rs depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions.
This exciting third season finale entitled “Contenders” finds David and the team investigating the boxer’s death which the FBI think could be a murder. Upon further investigation, they discover that another fighter, Octavio Lopez, died while in the ring with Ben six months earlier.
Although Ben swears he didn’t kill Munson or Lopez, David is sceptical, especially when the detectives come back to say that someone heard Ben threaten the victim on the day of the murder.
David enlists Charlie (David Krumholtz) and Amita (Navi Rawat) to help narrow down the list of suspects; however the only thing connecting the two dead fighters is that they both died while sparring with Ben.
Meanwhile, the test results for Munson and Lopez come back, and it is discovered both men were killed by a poison called 1080, a form of sodium flouroacetate. The FBI morgue tells David that Munson had an allergic reaction to it in his mouth, but all of the water bottles in the gym come back negative for the poison. One thing that doesn’t come back negative is Ben’s locker and gym bag.
A warrant is sworn out for Ben’s arrest on both counts of murder. David is so mad at his friend that he decides to arrest him himself. However, Ben gives them the slip and escapes custody.

Tune in to see if David and the team can catch the suspected killer in the season three final of Numb3rs, screening Sunday, October 21st at 9:30pm.

If they don't screen at least the last episode of this season (episode 24 ,The Janus List) & also decide to air season 4 then viewers will be scratching their heads because it turns out that one of the FBI team members is a mole & they continue on where season 3 ended in episode 1 of season 4

what an odd comment. I thought it rated well with them.
Maybe they'll just burn CSI Miami off with double episodes and maybe fast track something else in there once that season is over.

TV3 says:
"The episode we are screening on October 21st will definitely
be the final for the season. Not sure at this stage when or if we will ever screen the remaining episodes."
Rachel
I'll find out on Monday what it's replaced with...
ell
hopefully they put Shark, Medium or Criminal Intent in place of it there.

Wow, you're right. This was episode 16 of 24 episodes in the season. I have emailed TV3 about this for you.

Do the people at TV3 think we are a bunch of idots ??
this is not the final episode of season 3 ,their are another 8 more which i guess we will never get to watch, i see they have also cut short the season for Medium & Criminal Intent, they also did it to Shark earlier in the year ,i just wish TV3 would actually finish a whole season for once.
