Boh Runga - 'Evelyn' - NZ On Screen Exclusive Premiere

The video for Boh Runga's new single 'Evelyn' premieres EXCLUSIVELY on NZ On Screen today and tomorrow.

The special 48-hour advance release marks the launch of NZ On Screen's first major selection of music videos.

A collection of 80 of New Zealand's finest music videos, curated by broadcaster James Coleman, has been added to nzonscreen.com today, with more videos coming in the weeks ahead. The videos range from Len Lye's 1939 classic, Swinging the Lambeth Walk, to this brand new video from Boh Runga.

Set up late last year with funding from NZ On Air, NZ On Screen is an online showcase for the NZ screen industry. It features over 450 television, film, and now music video titles, all free to view at www.nzonscreen.com

Music Videos Launched on NZ On Screen

NZ On Screen has today launched a collection of New Zealand music videos.

Established late last year, NZ On Screen is a showcase of New Zealand screen culture, featuring collections, interviews, bios and over 450 film and television titles.

The website - awarded Best Entertainment Website at the 2009 Qantas Media Awards - is now adding a Music Videos collection.

Tangata Whenua Documentary Series Now On NZ On Screen

The first episode (Tangata Whenua: Waikato) of Michael King and Barry Barclay’s landmark 1970s Maori documentary series “Tangata Whenua – The People of the Land” is now available on NZ On Screen.

NZ On Screen Content Director Irene Gardiner says Tangata Whenua is one of the most significant titles to be added to the website so far.

“We’ve been working on clearing it for some time. These six documentaries about Maori life and culture were absolutely ground-breaking at the time they first screened, and the series remains significant and relevant."
