I have been watching it on sunday nights because I didn't catch it the first time it aired. 

I thought someone who worked in border partrol may have had a hand in creating the show. When I did a background check I found that the creator of OR's is a former police officer, go figure.

At first I felt there was no need for this type of drama since we have the real thing in the form of reality tv show "Border Patrol".

The producers hiring 2 Australian actors to play the 2 main characters is a little controversal. And I'm not sure what their motive was behind it (maybe break the show into the Aussie market?) other than what the writers said in a short clip on the TVNZ website about how NZ actors are cast in Aus productions.
