Seattle Grace's Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) brings a kidney transplant patient from Seattle to LA, in a dramatic crossover of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, tonight on TV2.

A last-ditch attempt is made at saving the patient's life, after Izzie (Katherine Heigl) blows their chance at Seattle Grace. But the patient must make a difficult decision when she discovers her only hope of surviving is to get a kidney from her sister, who is HIV positive.

The stakes are high in the new season premiere of medical drama, Private Practice, picking up from last season's climactic finale when Violet (Amy Brenneman) was held hostage by a deranged former patient.

Violet is rushed to the hospital unconscious and severely injured after the violent attack, and Addison (Kate Walsh) and Naomi (Audra McDonald) must fight to save her life - and find her baby.

Pete (Tim Daly) is frustrated he's unable to help and Cooper (Paul Adelstein) blames himself for not checking on Violet when he was nearby.

Show creator, Shonda Rimes says of the new season, "There are going to be a lot of repercussions to the events at the end of last season. "But we certainly want to keep the fun going too. After all, these are neurotic people living their lives neurotically, but living them to the fullest!"

As Violet’s pregnancy reaches its term, a grief-stricken patient poses a danger to her, tonight on Private Practice.

Having made her decision about who she wants to be with out of Pete and Sheldon, Violet finally admits she is happy. But a crazed patient instigates a dramatic turn of events.

Addison faces her feelings for Noah as Morgan goes into labour, Dell has concerns for his daughter when a drugged-out Heather returns to town, and Naomi must decide if it's in her best interest to stay with Oceanside Wellness or start anew at Pacific Wellcare.

Private Practice’s exhilarating second season continues on its roller coaster of emotions and tensions tonight on TV2. The paternity of Violet’s baby is still in question, and the heat in Addison and Noah’s relationship takes a turn as they are brought together to save a patient.

In Violet's (Amy Brenneman) most prominent storyline presence since Private Practice began, she grapples with the woes of who the father of her unborn child is - Sheldon or Pete? Violet's character has a certain ambivalence about her as she coasts through life with a clumsy, off-beat air and continues in search of happiness.

Private Practice sets the stage for the compelling crossover episodes with Grey’s Anatomy this week, when Addison’s brother Archer suffers a severe seizure.

We start this week with Addison begging Derek for help before heading back to 14 hours earlier to discover the mystery surrounding Archer. With Archer in a coma, Addison and Archer's girlfriend, Naomi desperately search for the cause and cure of this seizure, and after placing a last resort call to Addison's ex-husband, Derek, for counsel, determine a trip to Seattle Grace is necessary.

Meanwhile, Violet tells Sheldon and Pete that she is pregnant and wants to keep the baby, and a seven year-old patient is abandoned, left for Cooper to care for.

TV2’s popular medical drama Private Practice is back with all new episodes starting tonight.

With a stellar cast including star Kate Walsh, Tim Daly (Wings), Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy) and Taye Diggs (Daybreak), Private Practice is a spin-off of the popular ABC series, Grey's Anatomy, and sees Kate Walsh reprising her role as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, a renowned neonatal surgeon.

After realizing that her life isn't advancing at Seattle Grace, Addison journeys to Santa Monica, California to seek a new life, and finds this with her old med-school friends who work at the Oceanside Wellness Group, a chic private practice.

This week on Private Practice, Addison and Charlotte work together to save the lives of a pregnant woman in a coma and her unborn child, as Pete's girlfriend, Meg, clashes with members of the Oceanside staff when she begins seeing patients there.Read more

In the final of Private Practice for the season, Addison’s brother makes a surprise visit, stirring up trouble for his big sister and the Oceanside Wellness Group.

Tonight, the arrival of Addison's brother and fellow surgeon, Archer, not only causes trouble for her, but for Naomi and Sam as well.

Meanwhile, Meg returns to try to make it work with Pete, and a patient accused of a malicious crime stirs up anger and emotions for both Violet and Dell.
