Seattle Grace's Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) brings a kidney transplant patient from Seattle to LA, in a dramatic crossover of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, tonight on TV2.
A last-ditch attempt is made at saving the patient's life, after Izzie (Katherine Heigl) blows their chance at Seattle Grace. But the patient must make a difficult decision when she discovers her only hope of surviving is to get a kidney from her sister, who is HIV positive.

The stakes are high in the new season premiere of medical drama, Private Practice, picking up from last season's climactic finale when Violet (Amy Brenneman) was held hostage by a deranged former patient.
Violet is rushed to the hospital unconscious and severely injured after the violent attack, and Addison (Kate Walsh) and Naomi (Audra McDonald) must fight to save her life - and find her baby.
Pete (Tim Daly) is frustrated he's unable to help and Cooper (Paul Adelstein) blames himself for not checking on Violet when he was nearby.
Show creator, Shonda Rimes says of the new season, "There are going to be a lot of repercussions to the events at the end of last season. "But we certainly want to keep the fun going too. After all, these are neurotic people living their lives neurotically, but living them to the fullest!"

With Archer in a coma, Addison and Archer's girlfriend, Naomi desperately search for the cause and cure of this seizure, and after placing a last resort call to Addison's ex-husband, Derek, for counsel, determine a trip to Seattle Grace is necessary.
Meanwhile, Violet tells Sheldon and Pete that she is pregnant and wants to keep the baby, and a seven year-old patient is abandoned, left for Cooper to care for.
