Storm Large and her band The Balls will be playing a one-off New Zealand concert at Studio in Auckland on Friday 08 June 2007 at 8:00p.m.

Storm Large is a singer best known as a contestant on TV3’s (CBS) reality television show Rock Star Supernova. Storm and her band are in New Zealand for a first-ever New Zealand show.

Storm's powerhouse vocals and runway model looks have made her a household name and she has found an international audience with TV appearances on Rock Star: Supernova, the E-network, the Ellen DeGeneres show, Howard Stern and more.

Storm ranges from blistering rock to steamy cabaret, backed by her world-class band The Balls. It's a one of a kind show that's been packing out US clubs. This ball is definitely rolling, with the lead-single "Ladylike" which includes a Stella performance by Dave Navarro and which debuted at #5 on the Billboard hot singles chart and #1 in Iceland for 4 weeks running. This is “Storm and The Balls” first New Zealand appearance so don’t miss the opportunity to see her live and close up.

The New York Post has run a story entitled "Supernova Implodes" pointing out that the debut album failed to make Billboard's Top 100, and aren't selling tickets in droves for their concerts.

They offer some tips for future "Rock Star" participants to stop becoming "Rock Star: What the Hell Happened?".

Personally, I thought their songs just weren't up to scratch during the series and preferred the original songs by Dilana and the other contestants. It was a bad sign that they couldn't get avid fans of the show to enjoy their songs from the beginning.

Brooke Burke (Rock Star: Supernova) and David Charvet (Baywatch, Melrose Place) had a baby girl on Monday. She has been called Heaven Rain Charvet and is the third child for Brooke. Charvet and Brooke were engaged in August and plan to get married in the spring (US).

The NZ Herald has only given two stars to the Rockstar Supernova album and says there's no memorable tracks like Pretty Vegas or Afterglow from INXS/J.D. Fortune. Lukas Rossi is labelled as try-hand. Overall, they say the album is shows promise but that's about it.

My favourite moment from Rock Star: Supernova was the band tried to make some smart comment to Zayra Alvarez about how she probably has never even listened to any of their albums, and she replied something along the lines of: "I was in diapers when that came out!"

Rock Star Supernova's bassist Jason Newstead has been replaced by Johnny Colt from the Black Crowes for the upcoming world tour.

She has put the finished versions up on her MySpace page and they sound awesome!! I really like the new version of Supersoul, especially that bit near the end "I'm stronger now that I've ever been before..."
