Hot this week

Sneak preview: we bring you the hottest highlights of the Shortland Street week ahead, right here.

After being an ED specialist for so long, Craig Valentine (Renato Bartolomei) seems to be losing the love of the job, but it seems a change could be just around the corner.

Craig's interest is piqued when Pharmaceutical company Scott Spear head hunt Craig to join their research and development team. Knowing that a new challenge may be just what the doctor ordered, Craig has a difficult decision to make.

For a start, he would have to leave ED in the hands of Dr. Sarah Potts (Amanda Billing). Can Craig bring himself to take the leap from a public hospital to a private business - or worse, can he bear leaving Sarah Potts at all?

Meet Ethan Pierce. Played by actor Owen Black, Ethan is SHORTLAND STREET's newest face.

Cast as the dark and dashing Dr. Pierce, it will soon become clear that while he doesn't let anyone get under his skin he's more than able to get under the skin of others.

There's one doctor in particular that's not please with his arrival at the clinic. It's clear that there's some history between these two, though they will go to pains to keep it covered up.

Morgan and Hunter have to put their differences aside on SHORTLAND STREET when a casual volunteer first aid duty turns to chaos.

While helping out at the South Ferndale Markets a runaway truck puts lives in danger when it ploughs through some stalls. Hunter's first aid skills are really put to the test, but he's spurred on by having the beautiful Morgan holding his hand throughout.
