Exhausted Maia
Guilty Maia (Anna Jullienne) pushes herself to the limit this week on Shortland Street, when she exhausts herself during the not-so-fun charity run.
Having found a way to punish herself for her sins, Maia forces herself to keep running long after everyone else has finished. But when she suddenly collapses on the track and is taken to hospital, her mother Yvonne (Alison Quigan), and sister Tania (Faye Smyth) seriously fear for her health and mental state. Maia is desperate for absolution but is she on the right track?
Tai's Been a Bad Boy
Tracey (Sarah Thomson) discovers the key to some of bad-boy Tai’s (Xavier Horan) unusual behaviour this week on Shortland Street.
Tracey learns that some of Tai's behaviour is linked to a learning disability, and she finds herself hooked into Tai's problems whether she likes it or not. Convinced that there is more to the ex-convict than meets the eye, Tracey resolves to help him with his problem.
However, despite beginning to feel like she's bonding with Scott's wayward brother, Tracey finds herself compromised when she realises that Tai is responsible for stealing a hospital patient's MP3 player. Aware of the consequences if she was to dob him in, Tracey finds herself morally challenged. Will Tracey's heart or ex-cop mentality win over in this predicament?

Zimbabwean Doctor Xavier Moyo (Brian Manthenga) struggles with a strong sense of homesickness this week on Shortland Street.
Already grappling with differences in culture and lifestyle, Xavier becomes clearly unsettled after receiving a letter from his family back home. Xavier feels torn between his new Kiwi life and what he has left back home.
Seeking advice from boss Chris Warner (Michael Galvin) on how to deal with this situation, Xavier makes the decision to act on his true feelings. Watch Shortland Street tonight to see what surprise Xavier has in store!
School Bully
Sophie Mckay (Kimberly Crossman) finds herself challenged by school bully Orlando (Chris Maclennan-Jones), tonight on Shortland Street.
When Sophie is dragged along to a party, she discovers that the rebellious teen, Orlando has stolen the keys to the house that the party is being held in. Appalled at the t,hought that they are actually breaking and entering, Sophie campaigns to leave the gathering; but not before things start to go awry. Gerald Tippett (Harry McNaughton) bravely steps up to the plate this week on Shortland Street, when he offers to be Morgan’s (Bonnie Soper) provider.
With triplets on the way, and the surrogacy plans looking shaky, Morgan is going to need all of the support she can get. But is Gerald the right person for the job?

High-spirited Kip Denton (Will Hall) does his best to keep the romance alive between him and Tracey (Sarah Thomson) this week on Shortland Street.
Confused and concerned that Tracey is slipping through his fingers, Kip decides to inject some spontaneity into their relationship. In an attempt to remind Tracey just how much fun he can be, Kip turns up in ED dressed in an elaborate gorilla suit and attempts to serenade her!
