The NZ Breakers are making history this season with their first-ever spot in the Australian NBL semi-finals.

The New Zealanders will play Melbourne Tigers this week in a best of three series, and Maori Television will capture all the action free-to-air.

The games will be broadcast as follows:

Saturday March 7 at 4.00 PM

Get ready to rumble when New Zealand heavyweight champion boxer Shane Cameron returns to his hometown of Gisborne to fight for the first time. ‘The Homecoming Fight’ at Rugby Park is sure to be a knockout live-to-air broadcast – both for locals and for viewers!  Cameron takes on Detroit fighter Leo “Paco” Nolan with his WBO Oriental and Asia Pacific Heavyweight titles on the line.

Maori Television presenter Te Arahi Maipi is joined in the studio by Shane ‘The Mountain Warrior’ Cameron, to review all the hard-hitting action of 2008, and to discuss what lies ahead in Cameron’s quest to become heavyweight champion of the world.

The Breakers are well-placed to go deep into the ANBL playoffs this year, and Maori Television will be with them all the way.

This week, Beach Volleyball ’09 moves from Mt Maunganui to central Auckland for coverage of the McEntee Hire NZ Open 2009 at the ASB Centre in Stanley Street. The stadium centre court is transformed into an ideal beach volleyball venue, by 100 cubic metres of sand.

Lavina Good will host LIVE coverage of the McEntee Hire Beach Volleyball Tour 2009 which features the best of New Zealand's beach volleyball talent, and some top international teams looking to sharpen their skills in the off-season for the FIVB World & American AVP Tours.
