China: Thursday 10 January - 3 hour finale
SURVIVOR: CHINA
Thursday, January 10th at 8:30pm
The winner of Survivor: China will be decided in this action packed three hour season finale, as the final four survivors compete for the $1million prize, screening Thursday, January 10th at 8:30pm.
This special three hour season finale includes a two hour Final Showdown where the final four contestants Amanda, Denise, Todd and Courtney battle it out for the ‘Sole Survivor’ title. Then Jeff Probst hosts a reunion special where the 16 castaways reunite to share their experiences for the first time since leaving the China.
In the toughest Survivor series so far the four finalists challenged themselves physically, mentally and emotionally in a bid to win the $1million prize.
"I think China's been one of the best seasons we've done, and it finishes well," Probst told American TV Guide.
With just four Survivor: China castaways remaining, Probst said Todd Herzog, a 22-year-old flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, UT, and Amanda Kimmel, a 23-year-old hiking guide and Miss Montana USA 2005 from Los Angeles, CA, have the best odds of winning the show's $1 million prize.
Probst said Herzog is "exciting to watch" because he gets "such a joy" out of playing the game.
"He's loving this manipulative adventure he's on, and he's good at it," Probst told TV Guide before offering a disclaimer. "But it's always fun to be the person in charge of giving the blind-side to somebody until you get to the final Tribal Council and they're sitting on the jury."
The Survivor host suggested Herzog "let other people get credit for making moves" if he even wants to sniff the $1 million prize.
While Probst said Kimmel has "been in Todd's shadow" for most of the competition - he added she "knows this game as well as he does" - evident in the fact that she masterminded the ouster of James Clement, who had both of the Hidden Immunity Idols in his possession.
"She just pulled out a big sword and lopped somebody's head off with it," said Probst. "If she's willing to do that again, she could have a check for a million bucks. If she goes back to being timid, it'll be tougher for her to win."
Probst also said he's "surprised" to see Courtney Yates, a 26-year-old waitress from New York, NY, still in the game. But since she's made it this far after butting heads with several castaways, he thinks she has a shot at taking home the prize.
"I actually think she has a chance at winning, depending on who she's up against and what argument she makes," Probst told TV Guide. "If she could take all of her negative traits and turn them into (obstacles) that she overcame, she has a shot."
Probst also described Denise Martin, a 40-year-old school lunch lady from Douglas, MA, as Survivor: China's "dark-horse favourite."
"Out of anybody in this game right now, I would want to get rid of Denise as soon as possible because she's so likable and she's really done nothing wrong," Probst told TV Guide. "She's been a true friend to everybody. It's hard not to root for her. And I like her even more for the story she told about why she has a mullet."
Find out which of these remaining four survivors will be crowned the winner of Survivor: China and take home the $1 million prize when the final of Survivor: China, followed by the reunion special hosted by Jeff Probst, screens Thursday, January 10th at 8:30pm on 3.

Yeh, was good.
Happy that Todd did win. Agree that he did play the game all the time, even when in front of the jury. And yes was the one who really deserved to. Amanda was a bit lost for words and didn't come across too well there.
Can't believe that Courtney was almost the winner. Even though she did make me laugh. She was just always herself, but certainly did achieve something by 'surviving'. She looked so different at the end.
Was really glad James won the other prize, he was my pick of most likeable. A nice guy.
So glad Denise got something too. Felt so sorry for her.
Still can't stand John Robert.
So now on the to next one.
Wonder who'll be in it!

i agree with you. although, i think denise and courtney are on the same level; how much have they contributed??
but i guess denise tries a little harder to win challenges than courtney.
either way, now that peih-gee is gone (who i thought was the MOST deserving to win the $1 million), it's between todd and amanda to battle it out. both are pretty manipulative in their own ways.
can't wait to watch the 3 hour finale!!

Yeh, agree with how Geoff views everyone!
And indeed who will it be?
Amanda has appeared to quietly go along with the flow, but yet, has been up on the game and instigated moves that help her. She's known what she's been doing. And has always been likeable.
Denise is nice and I'd love to see her win!
She's got such delight out of going on reward trips. She's genuine and the prize would be lovely for her to win for her family.
Todd, yes manipulative and untustworthy, I've found him funny, annoying, likeable and wanted to slap his face at different times. Played the game though, even if he has got himself confused many times about who to do.
Courtney, how on earth is she still there. I thought she'd be one of the first to go. What has she contributed? Not much I don't think, other than entertainment and rolling her eyes, and hugs for the boys. Has been my daughter's most disliked person from the start. I've not minded her though.
