12 Days That Shocked The World

The History Channel – Monday 11 to Friday 22 June, 8.30pm

The course of history has been known to change in the space of a single day.
Wars have begun, empires have fallen and life as you knew it changed forever, all from a single event.

September 11, JFK’s assassination, the start of World War I, the sinking of the Titanic, Hiroshima, Hitler’s death, the first steps on the moon, Princess Diana’s death – they are all events which shocked us, made the world stand still and for some remain etched in our minds.

Now, The History Channel is giving viewers the chance to vote on what they think is history’s most momentous occasion when it broadcasts 12 DAYS THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD.

Based on viewers’ votes, The History Channel will air a corresponding program counting down from 12 to one the 12 DAYS THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD.

Voting will take place from May 20 to June 5 and viewers can cast their vote online at www.historychannel.com.au.

Then each night, from Monday, June 11, Steve Liebmann will host The History Channel’s count down of the world’s most pivotal moments in history, as voted by you.
