7 DAYS SERVES “CEASE AND DESIST” ORDER ON PRIME MINISTER

After months of harassment the 7 Days production team have taken legal action to stop John Key trying to get on the show. The popular comedy series has been going for almost four years and in that time approximately 30 politicians have appeared in the “Yes Minister” segment of the show. John Key has not been among them.

Mr Key began by sending jokes to the 7 Days team. These were forwarded to the police as they contained some “pretty rough stuff about Gerry Brownlee and Paula Bennett, together”. Key then began appearing at the studio during records “Just to say hi.” Key told several of the show’s producers, as well as the makeup woman and the caterer, that he was willing to re-enact his famous handshake with Dai Henwood and Paul Ego. I can only imagine how much fun the 7 Days crew are going to have with Jesse Mulligan tonight.

7 Days returns tonight at 9:30pm on TV3 with 2 new comedies.  We loved Sunny Skies (Tammy Davis, Oliver Driver) which airs at 8pm and The Radio looks good after 7 Days as well.

Ali Mau, Greg Boyed, and Jesse Mulligan will host TV ONE’s new 7pm show, Seven Sharp.

TVNZ Head of News and Current Affairs Ross Dagan says the Seven Sharp presenting line-up is an experienced team with strong journalistic pedigree, who collectively personify all of the attributes of the new show.

“We have brought together an enthusiastic team of presenters with unsurpassed news and current affairs credentials and the proven ability to be entertaining. We are confident this team will tell compelling stories in a refreshing way that will engage New Zealand viewers. Seven Sharp will reflect the day’s events with smart thinking, different viewpoints, and plenty of laughs along the way. Continue reading »
