10:30pm – Tuesday, August 30 on FOUR

The guest appearances keep on coming to TV’s most famous zip code. This week sees Ann Gillespie, who played recovering alcoholic Jackie Taylor and mother to Kelly (Jennie Garth) on the original 90210, returning in the spin-off when 90210 continues its latest season on Tuesday, August 30 th at 10:30pm on FOUR. In the original series, Jackie abused drugs and alcohol, but vowed to clean up her act after meeting Mel Silver, father to David (Brian Austin Green) and having a daughter, known as Silver (Jessica Stroup). But by the sounds of things, Jackie is now back to her old ways.

“I had hoped that Jackie Taylor had a complete conversion and well on the road to health and recovery, but apparently that is not the case,” Gillespie explains about reprising her 90210 role, adding: “I really had to let go of my own agenda and just give myself over to the character that they wrote.”

“When I went to do the episode, it was like riding a bicycle. The character of Jackie Taylor was right there and waiting,” Gillespie continues.

As well as the ease at which she stepped back into her character, Gillespie says she had “absolutely delightful reunion” with Garth during filming.

“I always loved working with her… I’m so proud of the decisions she’s made in her life. She was around when I was nursing my baby, and I was around when she was nursing hers,” she said of Garth, who has three children. But how will Jackie’s return affect her relationship with her other onscreen daughter?

Find out when 90210 screens on Tuesday, August 30 th at 10:30pm on FOUR.
